Glass Acts: Generations of Craftsmanship at Express Glass

Get to know Express Glass, a local gem in the heart of Placer County, with roots that run deep in the glass business. Meet Larry Robinson, a name synonymous with quality glass work since the '70s. Following in the footsteps of his father, Doug, who started a glass business in the Bay Area, Larry and his brother took the reins before Larry ventured to Placer County to open Express Glass in 2008. Now a fifth-generation glass contractor, Larry's legacy is set to continue with his children, Riley and Lacey, at the helm, ready to take over and guide Express Glass into the future as Larry steps into retirement.

Five generations of craftsmanship have shaped Express Glass into more than just a business; it stands as a testament to a family's passion for their craft and their commitment to the community. While serving larger cities like Roseville up to Sacramento, the family’s ties are here in Lincoln. Father and son have made it a tradition to kick off their workdays with a hearty breakfast at the Waffle Shop downtown—a simple joy of locals supporting locals. Meanwhile, Lacey looks forward to spending her days with young daughter, Brystol.  Once Brystol starts school, Lacey is eager to further Express Glass’s  involvement in community activities such as the Downtown Lincoln Association and the PTO.

The future of Express Glass is clear and bright, with siblings Riley and Lacey preparing to steer the family business into its next chapter. This transition is a promise of continued passion and pride in every project they undertake. Lacey points out that Express Glass has thrived on word-of-mouth recommendations, a testament to their quality work and community trust. But as times change, so does the approach to business. The Robinson family is now embracing the digital age, stepping into the world of advertising to share their expertise and passion with an even broader audience. This move marks a new chapter for Express Glass, combining decades of traditional craftsmanship with modern outreach strategies to continue serving the community.

Now that we know a little more about Express Glass’s local history, we welcome our valued community and readers to discover the craftsmanship and dedication the Robinson family offers to Placer County and beyond. Whether you seek top-notch glasswork or wish to support a local business deeply rooted in our community, Express Glass is here for you. Explore their Facebook Page, website or call/text directly at (707) 685 1821 to find out how they can fulfill your glass requirements.
